Our holiday home Elbufer 83 is located in the Bad Schandauer district of Postelwitz, directly on the Elbe.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with a meadow, a shady old tree population
and offers a beautiful view over the Elbe and the landscape of Saxon Switzerland.
The apartments offer an ideal starting point for your activities in Saxon Switzerland.
Many of the hiking and cycling routes are practically right on the doorstep.
The building itself was renovated in the winter of 2017/2018 and converted into a beautiful holiday home with two bright, modern and timelessly furnished holiday apartments.
We have been renting out our two apartments since summer 2018.
The history of the house dates back to 1850, probably even many years earlier.
It is assumed that the building was formerly used as a residential and small farmhouse and has undergone numerous minor changes over the years.
The former Junghans anchor forge used to be located in the immediate vicinity.

What amenities are included?
Both apartments are fully equipped. Wi-Fi, kitchens with modern appliances and a dishwasher, bed linens, towels, and essential hygiene products for the first few days are provided. You have free access to the garden and terrace. A magnificent view over the Elbe River and all the way to the Lilienstein Mountains completes the package.

How far is it to the center of Bad Schandau?
The city center is approximately 1.5–2 km away. It is about a 25-minute walk, a pleasant route right along the Elbe. Alternatively, you can take bus 252 (free of charge with a guest card).

Are there parking spaces?
Yes, you will find two parking spaces on the property; additional parking is available on the street in front of the house.
Parking is free of charge and at your own risk.
A charging facility for electric vehicles is currently being prepared.

What are the check-in/check-out times?
Check-in is available from 3:30 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability and prior confirmation.
Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please adhere to this time, as our cleaning team requires time to prepare the room.
Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request and confirmation. A fee may apply.

Are the apartments suitable for families/children?
Yes.
Both apartments are equipped for families with children.
A baby cot and high chair are also available upon request.

Are pets (dogs/cats) allowed?
You are welcome to bring your four-legged friend along. We allow dogs and cats, with a maximum of two animals per apartment.
Other animals are permitted only upon request and confirmation.
A surcharge of currently €12.00 per animal per night applies for pets.
The pet owner is liable for any damage caused.

Can bicycles be stored
You can park your bicycles in our covered garage. Please secure them yourself. We assume no liability.

City-Tax / Visitor Tax
The town of Bad Schandau levies a visitor tax for the town area and its districts.
€3.00 per person, year-round
€1.50 for children and youths aged 7–15, year-round
Children up to the age of 7 are exempt from the visitor tax
Overnight guests in Bad Schandau receive the "MOBIL" guest card, entitling them to the following services free of charge or at a reduced rate:
Free use of local public transport provided by the Upper Elbe Transport Authority (VVO) in Saxon Switzerland—covering the Bad Schandau, Pirna, Bad Gottleuba, and Neustadt fare zones, including regional Elbe ferries—for an unlimited number of trips from the day of arrival to the day of departure
