We look forward to welcoming you to Bad Schandau and the Saxon Switzerland National Park and wish you a few pleasant and relaxing days.
You choose a property with an ideal starting point for hikes, climbing or cycling tours, excursions to the surrounding area and further afield, and for cultural highlights.
Dresden and its sights are about 50 km away, and Prague is about 100 km away.
After reconstruction and renovation, we have been renting our property to our guests since summer 2018.
In addition to comfortable apartments, there is a beautiful, large garden with old trees for relaxing and unwinding.

Neighborhood / Surroundings
You will be staying in the Postelwitz district of Bad Schandau, directly on the Elbe.
In the immediate vicinity is the so-called Habe and the technical monument of the old Postelwitz ferry.
Postelwitz is located directly on the Elbe, on the connecting road to Schmilka and Decin.
Above Postelwitz lies the district of Ostrau, directly opposite on the other side of the Elbe
the district of Krippen.
From the house you can easily reach the center of Bad Schandau on foot in 20 minutes, many hiking trails, the Elbe cycle path and excursion destinations are also within easy walking distance.
The Bad Schandauer Rundline (bus 252) stops in both directions about a 5-minute walk from the house. Bicycle rental is about 250 m away. Ferry to Krippen is about 500 m away.
It is about 7 km to the border to CZ (Hrensko) and Bohemian Switzerland.

Directions to the holiday home Elbufer 83, Bad Schandau, Elbufer 83
From the south, take the A72 to the Chemnitz interchange. Here, keep half right onto the A4 towards Görlitz/Dresden/Chemnitz-Nord. It's approximately 60 km to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, turn half right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague, taking the Pirna exit. From there, take the B172 towards Königstein/Bad Schandau. Continue through Pirna and Königstein, over the Elbe River to Bad Schandau, heading towards the city center/Schmilka (Decin). Follow the B172 for approximately 3 km through Bad Schandau to Postelwitz. Our holiday home is on the left.
From the west, take the A4 to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, turn right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until the Pirna exit. Continue as described from the south, taking the Pirna exit.
From the northwest, take the A14 towards Dresden/Halle. At the Nossen interchange, take the A4 towards Görlitz/Dresden/Chemnitz-Nord. It's approximately 60 km to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, turn right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until you reach the Pirna exit. Continue as described from the south, taking the Pirna exit.
From the north, take the A13 to the Dresden-Nord interchange. There, turn half right onto the A4 towards Chemnitz/Leipzig/Dresden to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, turn half right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague to the Pirna exit. Continue as described from the south, taking the Pirna exit.
Access by public transport is ensured by good rail connections. The S-Bahn currently runs every half hour towards Bad Schandau-Pirna-Dresden (and back), hourly towards Schmilka, and every half hour on weekends. Long-distance trains to Bad Schandau station are also available.

Working in the industry for over 40 years.
