About the accommodation
Our holiday home "Elbufer 83" offers two comfortable, bright, spacious, modern, and timelessly furnished apartments, each 60 square meters in size, located directly on the Elbe River in the Bad Schandau district of Postelwitz. The house includes a large garden with shady mature trees and a parking space. Additional public parking spaces are available directly at the house. The apartments can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Each apartment features a kitchen, a living room with a 43" flat-screen TV, a stereo system with radio/CD, USB, and Bluetooth, a dining area, a combined living and bedroom, or 2 bedrooms (apartment 2). A beautiful common room with a winter garden atmosphere is located in the entrance area. Wi-Fi is included. You can store your bicycles in the house. You are ideally located for hiking in the Schrammstein region and the Grosser Winterberg. The apartments are easily accessible by car, train, bus, and bike. The small Postelwitz marina is just a few meters away. A bicycle rental is also available just 200 meters away. The Elbe ferry terminal to Krippen and Bad Schandau is a 5-10 minute walk away. The actual center of Bad Schandau can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes or by car (about 2 km). There you will find, among other things, the Toskana Therme spa. Shopping facilities, post office, bank as well as cafes and restaurants.

You will stay in cozy, newly furnished apartments with plenty of sunlight and daylight, furnished with a great deal of comfort and love. A parking space on the property is included. You can store your bikes in the house, and e-bikes can be charged. We also have options for other things you don't want to store in the apartment. The large garden with mature trees can be used for sunbathing or social gatherings. A barbecue area will be added in the future. In our Romanesque winter garden, you can spend pleasant hours even in bad weather. The holiday home is an ideal starting point for hikes in the wild and romantic Felsenfest or bike tours along the Elbe River. Many destinations are within easy reach, with public transport and tourist bus connections just a few meters away.

From the south, take the A72 to the Chemnitz interchange. Here, bear slightly right onto the A4 towards Görlitz/Dresden/Chemnitz-Nord. Continue for approximately 60 km to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, bear slightly right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until the Pirna exit. There, take the B172 towards Königstein/Bad Schandau. Drive through Pirna and Königstein, cross the Elbe River, and continue towards the town center/Schmilka (Děčín) in Bad Schandau. Follow the B172 for approximately 3 km through Bad Schandau to Postelwitz. Our holiday home is on the left.
From the west, take the A4 to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, bear slightly right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until the Pirna exit. Continue as described for directions from the south, starting at the Pirna exit.

From the northwest via the A14 towards Dresden/Halle. At the Nossen interchange, take the A4 towards Görlitz/Dresden/Chemnitz-Nord. Continue for approximately 60 km to the Dresden-West interchange. From there, bear slightly right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until the Pirna exit. Continue as described for those arriving from the south, starting at the Pirna exit.
From the north, take the A13 to the Dresden-Nord interchange. There, bear slightly right onto the A4 towards Chemnitz/Leipzig/Dresden until you reach the Dresden-West interchange. From there, bear slightly right onto the A17 towards Pirna/Prague until you reach the Pirna exit. Continue as described for those arriving from the south, starting at the Pirna exit.
Public transport connections are excellent. The S-Bahn (suburban train) currently runs every half hour towards Bad Schandau-Pirna-Dresden (and back), and hourly towards Schmilka, with half-hourly service on weekends. Long-distance trains also run to Bad Schandau station.
Neighbourhood
You'll be living in the Postelwitz district of Bad Schandau, right on the Elbe River.
In the immediate vicinity are the so-called "Habe" (a historic building) and the technical monument of the old Postelwitz ferry.
Postelwitz is located directly on the Elbe, on the connecting road to Schmilka and Děčín.
Above Postelwitz lies the Ostrava district, and directly opposite on the other side of the Elbe is the Krippen district.
From the house, you can easily reach the center of Bad Schandau on foot in 15 minutes. Many hiking trails, the Elbe Cycle Path, and other attractions are within easy walking distance.
The Bad Schandau circular bus line (bus 252) stops in both directions about a 5-minute walk from the house. A bicycle rental shop is about 250 meters away. The ferry to Krippen is about 500 meters away.
The border with the Czech Republic (Hřensko) and the Bohemian Switzerland region are about 7 kilometers away by car.
